Sue Elliott Hedges Jolley, 95, died Thursday morning, Sept. 13, 2018, in Nashville.
She was the beloved mother of four boys, with nine cherished grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who were the apples of her eye. Whether known as Momma, Muer or Aunt Sue, she was the hub around which a large and extended family turned. Full of life, even to the end of her days, she will never be forgotten, but will always be treasured for the love that she has shown.
She also loved to play bridge, travel and was active for many years in the Junior Auxiliary of Water Valley. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and Room Mother for each of her four sons, which surely helped her store treasure in Heaven.
Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home, 12760 Hwy 32, Water Valley, MS, with the service at 2 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.
Sue was preceded in death by first husband, Dr. Fred Hedges, and then her second husband, Dr. Bill Jolley.
She is survived by her sons Steve (Jean) Hedges of Sykesville, Md., Mike (Donetta) Hedges of Pleasant View, Tenn., Van (Mary) Hedges of Nashville and Jim (Susan) Hedges of McComb, Miss.; her grandchildren Hillary (Bobby) Croll of Los Angeles, Michael Lee Hedges Jr., of Clarksville, Tenn., Holly and Evie Krantz of Pleasant View, Tenn., Matt Hedges of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jane (Keith) Douglas of Nashville, John Hedges of Clinton, Miss. and Lisa Hedges of Austin, Texas.
