Velma Jeannette Cote

Mrs. Velma Jeannette Cote, 77, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. There is no memorial service planned at this time. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cote was born in Fulton, Miss. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for over 20 years. Mrs. Cote was also very fond of things such as crocheting and knitting. She was always very creative. However, nothing meant more to Mrs. Cote than her family.
Mrs. Cote is survived by her son, Tony Smith of Fulton; one stepson, Randy (Jenny) Cote of Las Vegas, Nev.; one step-daughter, Kathy Cote of Las Vegas; four brothers, Donald McKenzie of Oxford, Ronald McKenzie of Linden, N.C., Jimmy (Penny) Estes of Mooreville, Miss. and Herbert Baulch of Nettleton, Miss.; three sisters, Judy (Norm) Haley of Silver Springs, Nev., Brenda Johnson of Tremont, Miss. and Glenda Causey of Nettleton; her nephew, Adam (December) McKenzie of Oxford and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cote is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Cote; her parents, Herschel Bennett and Annie Ray Conwill; one son, Mark Cote; two brothers, Eddie Estes and Roy Lee Baulch and one sister, Mary Starling.
