Doris Landon passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018.  She was born Dec. 11, 1935 in Ann Arbor Michigan to Bill and Lucile Clay.  She loved French as a child and after graduating from college she was blessed to be able to teach her favorite romance language and remained in love with French her entire life.

In 1964 she moved to Oxford, where she began a wonderful life as a homemaker to two children, Clay and Letitia.  She joined the League of Women Voters, was an avid tennis player for a while, sung in the church choir, was involved in many book clubs and bible study groups and loved to travel with friends and family and always stayed involved with her children’s activities.  In 1977, she graduated from the Ole Miss Law School with her J.D., opened her own firm and practiced bankruptcy law until she retired in 2003.  She dearly loved and cared for her five grandchildren and one great-grandson!

She also loved St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oxford, and was excited about its plans for growth and community expansion.  In lieu of flowers, we simply ask that if you feel compelled please donate as you are able to the St. Peter’s Generation to Generation capital campaign.
