Regina Darlene Simmons, 56, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at her sister’s home in Water Valley, Mississippi. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2019, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held also at Coleman Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at 11 a.m.  Interment will be at Pine Flat Cemetery in Oxford, Mississippi. Bro. Sammy Gossett will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

She was a member of Paris Methodist Church. Ms. Simmons had a natural love for children. She also loved traveling and going on cruises every chance she had. However, nothing made Ms. Simmons happier than spending time with her family.

Ms. Simmons is survived by her daughter, Rosezette (Henry) Bond of Brandon, Mississippi; two sisters, Renea (Hosea) Kelley,  of Water Valley, and Carolyn (Dan) Cunningham, of Greenwood, Mississippi; one brother, Danny (Jenelle) Simmons, of Oxford; one granddaughter, Allie Bond,  of Brandon; one grandson, Tyler Bond, of Brandon; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; and 2 great-nieces. Ms. Simmons was preceded in death by her father, Russell Simmons; her mother, Lillie Grose; and one sister, Diane Stevens.
