Martha Louise Odum Shoffner, 74, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Neshoba General Hospital in Philadelphia, Mississippi. The funeral service will be Friday, May 31, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Levy Shoffner officiating.  Burial will follow in Abbeville Cemetery. Visitation was on Thursday, May 30, 2019, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

Born in Oxford, Mississippi,  to the late Ed and Toxie Bennett Odum, Mrs. Shoffner was the widow of William Edward Shoffner.  She loved her family and friends and was a Baptist.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Martha “Sissy” Abel and her husband, John, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, and Donna Clark of Philadelphia; three sons, Edward “Buddy” Shoffner and his wife, Angie, of Philadelphia, Ricky Shoffner and his wife, Ranona, of Hermitage, Tennessee,  and Richard Shoffner of Tishomingo, Mississippi; two sister, Bessie Russell and her husband, John, of Abbeville, Mississippi, and Reba Russell and her husband, Paul, of Abbeville; a brother, Ed Odum and his wife, Mary Jane, of Abbeville; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
