Obit – Maywyc Coers “Wyc” Adams

Maywyc Coers “Wyc” Adams, 82, died Friday, June 21, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.  Visitation will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.in the Parish Hall of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.  A private service will be held in Oxford Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Chip Davis and Rev. Jody Burnett officiating.  Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 Born in Oxford, Mrs. Adams was the widow of Mr. Robert O. “Tiger” Adams and a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Carl R. “Dick” Coers, III.

 Survivors include four sons, Robert O. “Bobby” Adams, and his wife, Betty Kay of Brandon, Miss., Carl E. Adams of Germantown, Tenn., Burt C. Adams of Pinehurst, N.C., and Sam Adams of Sardis, Miss; four grandchildren, Fraser Adams, and his wife, Karianna, Coers Adams, and his wife, Sarah, Dr. Mary Tipton Adams, and Amanda Carr, and her husband, Jimmy, and three great-grandchildren.
