Dr. Dexter Hong Quon, 67, died peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019.  He was born Aug. 14, 1952, in Indianola Miss., and was raised in Inverness, Miss.   He was born to the late Gordon Pon Quon and Set Yang Pon Quon.  He is survived by his wife, Esther Quon; his brothers, Wing (Lee), Don (Lily), and Shun (Jane); six nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and great nephews.

He graduated from Indianola Academy and the University of Mississippi.  He received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi and practiced Family Medicine with the Mississippi State Department of Health.

Dr. Quon was a lifetime member of the USTA and played league tennis for many years. He had a life -long curiosity of many subjects and always strived to learn and grow.

Dr. Quon requested no funeral service be held.  A memorial service will be planned for a later date for family and friends.  Memorial contributions in Dr. Quon’s honor may be made to the organization of the donor’s choice.
