Poll workers needed in Lafayette County for November general election

The Lafayette County Election Commission is in need of poll workers for the upcoming general election.
Several paid positions are available and the amount varies depending on the job. The open positions include a box carrier, voting machine monitor, electronic poll book manager, bailiff, affidavit manager and poll managers. The pay ranges from $135 to $155 for the day.
Anyone wishing to help at the polls must be at least 18 years old, a registered voter in Lafayette County and have transportation to get to their assigned polling station. Each hired poll worker must also complete poll worker training.

The general election will take place on Nov. 5.
