Oxford is playing in its first state championship game since 2015 — and first in Class 6A — on Dec. 6 against last year’s 6A runner-up, Oak Grove.

The marquee matchup is taking place at M.M. Roberts Stadium on the University of Southern Mississippi’s campus in Hattiesburg on Friday at 7 p.m.

To accommodate all those interested in attending the game and arriving in a safe and timely manner, the Oxford School District announced early dismissal times on Sunday.
