New traffic signal to become fully operational on South Lamar Boulevard

The City of Oxford announced the new traffic signal on South Lamar Boulevard will be fully operational on Wednesday.
A signal will be at the intersection of South Lamar and Azalea/Office Park Drive will be placed in operation mid-morning. The traffic light had been in an extended flash mode for several weeks, due to weather delays.
The functional signal will provide for dedicated left turn lanes on South Lamar and dedicated signal times for Office Park and Azalea, according to a post on the City’s social media accounts.
City officials urge motorists to use caution in the area as they adjust to the new traffic patterns.
