Mae Walton Hodges Fondren, 97, retired homemaker, died Friday, May 8, 2020, at her residence in Oxford. 

Graveside Services were held Monday, May 11, 2020, at 2 p.m., at West Shady Grove Cemetery in Webster County, Miss. Bro. Bradley Burnett officiated.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Eva Hodges; her husband; Mack Wayne Fondren, three brothers, and one sister. Mae Walton is survived by a daughter, Brenda Gail Fondren, of Oxford; two sons, Dennis Wayne Fondren, of Oxford, and Joseph Walton (Sandra Kay) Fondren, of Newsite, Miss.; and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  

The family would like to extend its gratitude to Kindred Hospice Service of Oxford for their wonderful care of our mother and request that any memorials be made to the West Shady Grove Cemetery Fund, 713 Briarwood Dr., Winona, MS, 38967. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of all arrangements.
