Billy Carl Holcomb, 88, died Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Field Health Systems in Liberty, Miss. A private graveside service was held Thursday, May 28, 2020, in St. Peter’s Cemetery with Rev. Scott Thomas officiating. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Born in Purvis, Miss., to the late Mack C. and Lucille Shaw Holcomb, Mr. Holcomb was the widower of Mrs. Eugenia Franklin Holcomb. He worked as a barber at Ole Miss and held a special bond with his twin brother, Bobby Holcomb, who the Oxford High School football field is named for. 

Survivors include his daughters, Leslie Holcomb Moore, and her husband, David, of St. Francesville, La., and Wendy Holcomb, of Oxford; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
