The Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library closed due to “potential” COVID-19 exposure
The Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library announced on Monday it is temporarily closing its doors out of caution.
The library, located at 401 Bramlett Blvd., will remain closed until July 16 due to “potential exposure to coronavirus in the building,” according to an announcement made by the First Regional Library system.
“We apologize for the inconvenience, but we take the health and safety of our patrons and staff very seriously,” said Brand & Marketing Strategist of First Regional Library David Brown. “We will reopen LCOPL when all precautions have been taken and it is safe for everyone to return.”
All curbside and inside appointments, as well as book giveaways, have been canceled and will be rescheduled, according to the announcement.
