Oxonians who are looking to disinfect homes, schools or businesses have a local option for cleaning in Ecovasive Infection Control.

According to Wayne Kelly, who co-runs Ecovasive in the Oxford area, the company has been the leading effort in ensuring that businesses, churches, schools and residences could be proactive in creating a safer and cleaner environment for its employees, students and patrons.

“If you’re a regular business and you haven’t had the coronavirus but you want protection, we come in and treat your facility,” Kelly said. “All the restrooms and touching points like your chairs, your desks, your keyboards, your telephones and credit card machines. You name it, we treat the whole facility.”

Some of the local businesses Ecovasive has worked with include: Chick-fil-A, Regents School of Oxford, Tallahatchie Gourmet, Oxford Endodontics, Orange Theory, Shed Fitness, The Pantry, Swetland-Cook PLLC, Kids World Daycare and the Kappa Delta house at Ole Miss.

Ecovasive has two products they use. The first is Bioesque, which is a botanical disinfecting solution that cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes a wide variety of surfaces. It is non-toxic, non-abrasive and environmentally friendly. It is safe to use and holds a four-minute kill claim for norovirus, bacteria, mold, fungi, MRSA, strep and many more pathogens. The other product is an EPA-registered antimicrobial residual surface protection product. Its antimicrobial technology is built-in and provides continuous surface protection between cleaning and disinfecting. It’s non-toxic, non-leaching and non-hazardous. It can last up to 90 days on a treated surface, depending on the surface.

“The product we use is Bioesque,” Kelly said. “It’s based with an invisible, colorless, odorless polymer. It has a positive charge to it so when any virus, bacteria or pathogen comes in contact with the treated surfaces, our product destroys and eliminates it. It can last up to 90 days.”

Ecovasive is not a startup business due to the pandemic, but rather a proven Infection Control company that is paving the way for new, innovative methods for disinfection and protection from infectious germs, bacteria, and viruses, such as COVID-19, the flu, hand foot and mouth disease, Norovirus, salmonella, strep, MRSA and E. coli.
