Huge Catfish Caught Before Winter Weather Moves In Tonight

Oxford resident Jessie Mayes said he had been fishing all his life but had never caught a monster catfish like this before. The fish weighed 46 pounds and was caught in Clear Creek, near the end of Sardis Road in Lafayette County.
Mayes was using nigh-crawlers for bait. Temperatures were falling throughout the day. Lafayette County is under a Winter Storm Warning.
