OPD looking for person who escaped from Circuit Court this morning

UPDATED: Oxford Police Department reported that Jenkins was back in custody at approximately 3:00 p.m.
UPDATED: Oxford Police Department and Lafayette Sheriff’s Department issued an alert to be on the look out for Jasper Jenkins, 25, who ran from Circuit Court wearing a black jacket, black pants, and red shoes.
He was last seen near 15th Street, east of the Square.
Jasper was arrested in 2022 on an armed robbery charge. If you see him, call 911 immediately.
