Oxford Weather: Sunny Start, Showers Expected by Christmas Day

The forecast for Sunday (Dec 24) indicates a 40% chance of showers after noon, under mostly cloudy skies and a high near 65°F. The wind will pick up, blowing southeast at 10 to 15 mph and could gust as high as 25 mph. By night, showers are expected, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms after 3 a.m. The low is predicted around 54°F, and the chance of precipitation increases to 100%, with new rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Christmas Day (Dec 25) will start with showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers continues throughout the day. The high will be near 63°F with a south-southeast wind around 15 mph, becoming southwest in the afternoon. Wind gusts could reach as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%.

On Tuesday (Dec 26), Oxford can expect partly sunny skies with a high near 52°F, providing a slightly cooler day post-Christmas.
