The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, set for Monday, has been canceled due to the winter storm.

According to the University of Mississippi Center for Community Engagement, organizers are working to reschedule the event and will provide an update for volunteers and the community as soon as possible.

This event, planned to honor the life and legacy of King, will see students, faculty and staff join forces with community members to participate in service projects throughout the Oxford and Lafayette County area.
