Oxford voters who cannot vote in person during the special election for the at-large alderman race on Feb. 6 can now vote absentee.

There are only two weeks for people to vote absentee before the election that will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 6, and all in-person voting will be done at the Oxford Conference Center.

The at-large seat represents all of Oxford. All registered Oxford residents, regardless of which ward they live in, can vote in the at-large alderman election.

Absentee votes are cast at the Lafayette County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office which is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and located inside the Lafayette County Courthouse.

The Clerk’s Office will open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3 to allow for absentee voting.

On the ballot will be Mary Martha Crowe, Brad Feltenstein and Jason Plunk.

The position is open due to former At-Large Alderman John Morgan being elected in November to become the Lafayette County District 2 Supervisor.
