On Feb. 21, the Oxford Police Department responded to a business in the 700 block in reference to a fraudulent check.

After investigation, Gavin Smith, 19, of Oxford was arrested for Uttering Forgery.

Smith was taken before a Municipal Court judge for his initial bond hearing and issued a $2,500 bond.
