On April 9, 2024, the Oxford Police Department responded to a residence for a standby-escort while the caller retrieved property.

The caller noticed that some property and currency was missing.

After investigation, Tonya Murphree, 56, of Oxford was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny.

Murphree was taken before a Municipal Court judge for her initial bond hearing and issued a $7,500 bond.
