Juneteenth events kick off Saturday with Linen on the Lawn

Oxford Juneteenth kicks off with the annual community picnic, Linen on the Lawn, featuring live music, food trucks, and dancing.
Bring a blanket, lawn chairs and friends and family to this free community event.
Enjoy and support local food trucks including Soul 2 Soul Food Truck, Fresh Out of the Water,
Southern Sweets, G&G’s Fry Co., Oxcsicles and J&J BBQ.
The event takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Old Armory Pavilion.
If parking is not available at the Old Armory, park at the Oxford Skate Park (across from the library) and follow the sidewalk to the pavilion.
Other upcoming Juneteenth events include:
- “Super Chikan” documentary screening at 7 p.m. at the Burns Belfry Multi-Cultural Center
- Oxford Juneteenth Celebration starting at 3 p.m. on June 14 in the Oxford Middle School parking lot. Enjoy music, bounce houses, art and food vendors.
