June Rosentreter, 90, of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Oxford, died peacefully on June 12. She was a member of Oxford-University United Methodist church.
June was very active in the Oxford community. She managed the Oxford Pantry for 35 years, and was instrumental in the organization and implementation of the annual Empty Bowls fund raising event for the Pantry.
As a member of United Methodist Women and the choir, she participated in her church. She belonged to the P.E.O. Sisterhood, a philanthropic educational organization and served as State President from 2001-2002.
June was a wife, a mother, a daughter and a grandmother and she was loved by all. She is survived by her husband of 68 years George, her son Eric(Leena), her son Max(Susan), her daughter Lydia(Karl) and 10 grandchildren.
