No threat found at SPHS

**Update**

Classes resume at SPHS; officials find no evidence of threat

At approximately 7:45 a.m., South Panola High School was evacuated due to a bomb threat. All SPHS students, faculty and staff were moved away from the building and campus as emergency officials “swept” SPHS to insure its safety. Officials completed their sweep at approximately 12:45 p.m., and found no evidence that would constitute as a threat; classes resumed shortly after.

South Panola High School has been evacuated due to a bomb threat, according to the South Panola South District.

All SPHS students, faculty and staff are safe and away from the building. Law enforcement officials are in the process of “sweeping” the SPHS building/campus.

Once officials finish their sweep, classes will resume as normal.
Tiger Drive is currently closed from the exit of Batesville Junior High School campus to Keating Road.
