Surveillance video of Ally Kostial on the Square released

The final hours of Ally Kostial’s life are coming more into focus after the City of Oxford released footage of the murdered Ole Miss student leaving the Square.

Around 11:52 p.m. on July 19, Kostial, who is seen wearing a blue dress and a white jacket, can be seen giving someone a hug as she exits Funky’s and heads east toward Rooster’s Blues House, where she stops at the corner for several minutes. You can watch in the video below:

After standing at the bottom of the staircase that leads to Rooster’s, a grey van pulls up around 11:56 p.m. Kostial can be seen entering the van around 11:57.14. p.m. The van waits about 30 seconds more before pulling off and heading west on Jackson Avenue. You can see in the video below:

Kostial’s roommate has stated she arrived home around midnight that night, but does not know when she left again. A little over 10 and-a-half hours later, Kostial’s body was found by Lafayette County Sheriff’s Deputies in the Buford Ridge area of Harmontown, nearly 30 miles away from where she was last seen in Oxford.

If anyone has any information or thinks they have information regarding these videos or the case, they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 662-234-6421.
