Lee Dentistry to offer free screenings and cleaning for kids

With the Halloween and the holidays behind us, it is time for everyone to take a stock of their health entering a new year. This includes dental health but some families might not be able to afford the care their children need, or even a check up to find out what work might need to be done.

One dentist in Oxford is looking to provide some relief for families facing such a dilemma. Lee Dentistry is offering free dental screenings and cleanings for children and teenagers ranging from ages 3 to 18 on Saturday.

“Our team so excited to serve our community again and are hoping for a great turnout on Saturday,” said Corey Ussery. “All you have to do is show up, and we have plans to entertain the children, as well as take care of their dental needs. Our goal is always to make oral health an important but fun thing for kids.”

Families afraid their insurance will not be accepted or do not have dental insurance altogether will still be accepted by Lee as they are not requiring anyone to be covered before taking part in the screenings.

“We are constantly trying to think of new ways to serve those in need. So, this year we will host a day just for kids. Every child deserves access to oral health care, yet there are so many children in our area who have never seen a dentist,” said Dr. Preston Lee. “We are thrilled to offer free oral health services to underserved children.”

The event is open to the public and is on a first come first serve basis from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lee Dentistry is located at 1201 Office Park Drive off of South Lamar Drive in Oxford. More information can be found at leedentistryoxford.com
