With continuous rain pouring down on Oxford for most of the week, the National Weather Service has issued a warning to northern and southeastern Lafayette County residents.

The NWS office in Memphis issued a flood warning Friday morning just after 7 a.m. for the Tallahatchie River, as well as the Coldwater and Yocona Rivers.

The flood warning is set to expire on Monday the 25th.

NWS has also issued a continued flash flood warning for southeastern Lafayette County that will expire at 4 p.m.
