Mississippi’s annual sales tax holiday arrives end of this week, so if you want to save some money this is your weekend.
Retail shoppers in Mississippi won’t be charged the state’s 7 percent sales tax on purchases of clothing and shoes under $100. The sales tax holiday begins this Friday (July 29) at 12:01 a.m. and it ends this Saturday (July 30) at midnight, providing two full days of shopping discounts.
Schools supplies and computers are not included in Mississippi’s sales tax weekend discounts.
