On Sunday, the Oxford Police Department arrested a Horn Lake man for allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint at Three-Way Grocery.

According to reports, the victim identified Anfani Thornton, 18, as the man who robbed him of his backpack while holding a gun. The backpack contained clothes, a cellphone and a jar of alleged marijuana. After officers located Thornton they found some of the victim’s items in a nearby garbage can and in the vehicle Thornton was riding in.

Thornton was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $25,000 bond.
