Bertha Clinton Smith, 63, of Water Valley, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at Baptist Memorial East Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 12 noon at Bayson Chapel Church with burial to follow in Coffeeville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Smith, and daughter, Na’Kisha Smith.

She is survived by grandsons, Ranaldo Smith and De’Anthony Smith, both of Water Valley; sisters Annie Clinton, Mary Clinton and Dorothy Burgess, all of Chicago; brothers Larry Clinton of Scobey, Lloyd Clinton, Robert Clinton, Dewitte Clinton, J.C. Clinton and Lewis Clinton, all of Chicago; and five great grandchildren.
