Ole Miss added to its 2018 recruiting class Thursday.
Northwest Mississippi Community College defensive tackle Hal Northern gave his verbal pledge to the Rebels, becoming the ninth member of Ole Miss’ recruiting class. The 6-foot-3, 293-pound Northern publicly announced his commitment with a post to his Twitter account.
“My family and I feel this is the best option for me,” part of Northern’s post read. “I would not be where I am today without my family’s support. I thank God for giving me this chance to fulfill my life long dream.”
Northern committed to Ole Miss over offers from Middle Tennessee State, Colorado State and others. He’s rated a two-star prospect by Rivals.com.
A native of Tunica, Northern is Ole Miss’ fourth defensive tackle commit so far. He has 11 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks and four quarterback hurries through NWCC’s first four games.
