Charlie James Kendall, 68, of Coffeeville, Miss died Dec. 11, 2017 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, Miss.  He was born on June 11, 1949 in Brazil, Miss. to the late Ethel Melton Kendall and Charlie Asberry Kendall. Charlie loved music and loved to sing.  He was especially fond of old-time country music. Charlie was a member of the Water Valley Church of God.

Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at North Shady Grove Church of God in Cascilla, Miss.  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at North Shady Grove Church of God with Bro. Jerry Hill officiating.  Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery near the church.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Jackson Kendall of Coffeeville, Miss; three daughters, Carol Vaughn (Jerry), Crystal Kendall, and Loretta Thompson (Darron), all of Water Valley, Miss; one son, Joe Kendall (Belinda) of Cascilla, Miss; two sisters, Dorothy Smith of Cascilla, Miss. and Ruth Lindley of Holcomb, Miss.; a brother, Henry Kendall of Cascilla, Miss; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida Mae Carpenter, and Virginia Sue Kendall.
