Mr. William “Billy” C. Melton, 67, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Visitation will be Monday, Sep. 10, 2018, from noon to 2 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Flat Cemetery (40 CR 422, Oxford, MS 38655). Interment will be at Pine Flat Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Melton is survived by his wife, Katherine Melton of Oxford; his mother-in-law, Mary Helen Chandler of Water Valley, Miss.; three brothers-in-law, Gary (Vicky) Chandler of Oxford and Randy (Martha) Chandler and Criss Chandler, both of Water Valley; two sisters-in-law, Judy (Joe) Potts of Water Valley and Amy (Billy) Myles of Pearl, Miss.; one uncle, Homer (Ruth) Melton of Tillatobia, Miss. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Melton was preceded in death by his father, Deward Melton; his mother, Willie Melton and his father-in-law, Clarence Criss Chandler.
