The Oxford Police Department arrested a Batesville teen for allegedly stealing a golf bag recently.

On Sunday, officers responded to 507 Webb St., in reference to a vehicle burglary. The victim reported someone stole a golf bag with golf clubs and sunglasses inside. During this time, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department was working two similar burglary cases.

Both agencies were able to identify Ethan Gatlin, 18, as the suspect. When officers found Gatlin, he was in possession of the golf bag, clubs and sunglasses belonging to the victim.

He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $10,000 bond.
