Watch former Ole Miss tight Evan Engram react to being drafted by New York Giants
Rather than make the trip to Philadelphia for the NFL Draft, Evan Engram opted to stay home in Powder Springs, Georgia so he could celebrate with family and friends whenever he was chosen.
Engram’s wait only lasted a few hours.
The former Ole Miss tight end was drafted in the first round by the New York Giants on Thursday, and the celebration was predictable. Flanked by his mother, Michelle, and his sister, Mackenzie, Engram watched as his name was officially announced as the 23rd overall pick during ESPN’s draft coverage. Friends and family members gathered around him broke out in a roar of jubilation.
Watch Engram’s reaction in the following video, which was posted to his sister’s Twitter account.
